You’ve probably been here. I know have – invested in an online course that promises to change your business, skyrocket your growth. The sales page is was convincing, the testimonials were glowing, and you hit “buy” feeling hopeful. But fast forward a few weeks, and you’re staring at your screen, feeling just as stuck as you were before. Why? Because the course told you what to do, but not how to actually do it.
The Big Problem: Courses That Teach the “What” and “Why,” But Not the “How”
The majority of online courses are great at telling you what you need to do and why it’s important. But when it comes to the how, things suddenly get vague. They might tip toe around it but never get down to the nitty gritty. Because many online courses don’t actually teach the specific HOW you need to know to be able to take action.
For example, a course might teach you about “How to Grow Your Email List” – They tell you what you need to do; “grow your email list”. They tell you why you need to do it ;”because social media isn’t reliable”, and they kinda tell you how to do it; “create a lead magnet and put it out there” BUT they don’t show you how to create a lead magnet, set up an opt-in page, or actually get people to sign up. And, that’s where most courses fall short – they give broad instructions but fail to teach the step-by-step execution. And that’s when frustration sets in. You start to feel stuck, unsure of how to move forward and in many cases giving up all together.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that a course showing you How to Grow Your Email list should include things like ‘step by step Facebook ads to promote your lead magnet’ for example. We need to be realistic. Not every course needs to turn into a full-on, one-size-fits-all solution. But we need to meet people where they are, and give them the right tools to take the next step with confidence.
Why This Happens
In my personal opinion there are a few reasons why this happens.
Firstly, assumption. There’s an assumption that people joining the course already know, what the course creator considers to be, the basics. So, when it comes to breaking things down, or explaining acronyms, they simply don’t. But we all need to remember that just because we know something, doesn’t mean everyone does. What is obvious to us is brand new information to someone else.

Secondly, many course creators aren’t the ones actually doing this part work themselves. They have teams or VAs handling the tech, automation, and marketing. So, while they can tell you what needs to be done, they can’t always show you how to do it. Because it’s something they have never done OR it’s been so long since they have done it they have forgotten how.
On top of that, there’s a frustrating level of gatekeeping in the online space. Some people deliberately keep the “how” back, forcing you to invest in yet another program, mastermind, or done-for-you service just to move forward. It’s a cycle that leaves business owners stuck, spending more and more without actually seeing progress.
The solution is simple: Teach the how.
As business owners, and more importantly, course students, you need clarity and direction, not just ideas and concepts. You need to know how to actually set things up and make things work.
That’s why I’m committed to breaking down topics into simple, actionable steps. I walk you through the exact steps you need to take in real time.
I don’t just give you the theory; I show you the how.
Why?
Well firstly because, I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve done courses where I’ve then had to go out and find more answers. Whether that has been searching YouTube or paying more for another course. I’ve been in situations where people have said ‘Google it’. Well that’s all well and good but what the ‘F’ am I supposed to be googling? It’s like being told to find your way out of a maze without a map. It’s a waste of time, and it’s incredibly overwhelming.
And secondly, it was like this when I closed my business back in 2022 and it’s STILL like this now I’m back in business in 2025! Nothing has changed.
My Approach: Teaching the “How”
This is exactly why I do things differently. I don’t just tell you what to do – I walk you through the process, breaking it down step by step, making sure you actually understand and can implement it.
Because here’s the thing: You don’t need more information. You need implementation.
I’m here for the people who are tired of feeling stuck, tired of second-guessing themselves, and tired of being left to fend for themselves in a world that is supposed to be teaching them how to succeed. Work with people who actually do what they teach. And most importantly, make sure you’re getting the how – because without it, knowledge alone won’t get you anywhere.
Because learning shouldn’t just be informative – it should be transformative.
